Located in, behind Dynasty Chinese Restaurant on Cantonments Road (‘Oxford Street’), Mamma Mia Ristorante has been operating since 2004. It is enjoyed by customers due to the outdoor ‘al fresco’ dining, with comfortable wicker chairs. In the evenings, it is lightly to provide a cozy setting, and internationals/foreign ex-patriots are prominent amongst the restaurant’s customer base.

At the very least, Mamma Mia Ristorante is amongst the finest restaurants to serve pizza and Italian dishes in the capital. The use of a traditional wood oven in the preparation of Mamma Mia Ristorante’s pizza gives a unique flavor that is not replicated in a conventional electric pizza oven. Accordingly, the average price makes Mamma Mia Ristorante a slightly more upmarket affair, but the superb quality of the meals are clearly evident (the pizza is one size, ideally for one person, the equivalent of a medium elsewhere, and the prices are in the 13-16 GH¢ mark).

Around twenty different styles of pizza are available from the menu, or customers can make variations on the existing menu. The menu also features various pasta & sauce combinations, and also serves lasagne.

A bar serves a variety of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages, and fine European-style coffee is also available.

Mamma Mia Ristorante is open from daily, however, usually has a brief shutdown during the Christmas-New Year period.
